They played Arkansas closer than we did. Oklahoma only scored 19 on them and they held a good Nebraska team to only a few points. Why do most posters think this will be an easy win?

Nebraska can't score without Martinez in the game. And the Corn holers held A&M to 9 at home.

Agreed. They will play to the level of the opponent every time. Used to bother me, but I've accepted it now. They usually take care of business. I don't pick them to cover anymore.

Martinez played 3/4 of that game. Didn't play the 2nd quarter.

A&M was also very conservative in kicking field goals on a couple of 4th and 1s inside the 10 because we knew the defense was going to stop Corn's running game.

"Any team will give LSU all we want."

This is the truth. Fortunately, I fully expect LSU to have a strong chance against any of the teams we might play, but for whatever reason, this team tends to play close games against just about everyone.

Just about every game this year we won or lost was by 1 score. What would make this game any different?

Are we talking about a "battle of the bands" here?

Martinez was in the first quarter. He left at the end and came back in the third and finished out the game. He looked injured in the second half, but it's not like he was getting it done in the first quarter. NU had the ball 11:17 of the 15 minutes and only had a FG.

Yes and Sherman was calling extremely conservative plays, when he's usually slightly aggressive. The score was low for both sides because they were playing in reaction to each other.

EDIT: or what Ball Gravy said...

Must not have heard about the whipping they just handed Colorado without Martinez. Yes it’s Colorado but that same CU team that beat the SEC’s Georgia Bulldogs and save the UGA is down talk. Point is you talk out of your arse, a lot.

Very. We have a new DC from Air Force who runs a 3-4, in which Von Miller plays a Joker position (LB/DE hybrid), where he will rush the QB maybe 30-40% of the time. The rest of the time he will fake blitzing but drop into coverage or come on a delayed blitz from a different angle. You never know what he's going to do.
