as a well traveled LSU fan i've seen a lot of stadiums and fan bases. This was by far the worst i've experienced (i haven't been to Gainesville though)

The fans prior to the game were no problem. But during the game we had "that" fan behind us. Good god he was obnoxious. He considered at least 4 players on the Arkansas team to be the best in the country at their respective position.
Also typically after we defeat a team, i do not and have never hounded a fan. We won the game, that is insult enough. However we received a fair amount of shite from these fans. As if we pissed on there parents grave or something. They flat out hated us. Cursed us, yelled at us, after they beat us. WTF is up with that.
The most common comment of course was "sorry you had to drive all the way up hear, enjoy that long drive home". Which we responded with "we live here", and their hick minds could not respond to that.
Out of all of the fans we ran into after the game tailgating and at the bar, we might have had a decent conversation with a few of them. Most of them stared at us like we were crazy, talked shite, or just would question our ability to drive home because we lost (yes that was a very common insult).

I was very disappointed with the fan base. Still am disappointed. They had some serious assholes.
I know every team has there fair share, but I've never seen a group effort to be such ignorant obnoxious people like i have the Arkansas fans.

Also Arkansas has by far the most obnoxious and homo sexual chear. I've never seen it live, and only hope never to again. 30,000 guys doing spirit fingers, WTF is up with that. WOO-PIG-SOOIE
It even made Cliff Lee look like a douche.
I understand its your tradition, but no one can be proud of that cheer. I would rather hear sandstorm the entire game then that crap.
Another chear i've not really heard is the "AND THATS ANOTHER ARKANSAS RAZORBACK" "FIRST DOWN".

Some quick pros:
1. Little Rock is a beautiful city IMO. I really enjoyed it there. Would like to go back to visit for that reason.
2. We sat right above the band and a few of the Arky fans went along with our motions and songs, etc etc (they would say something about their team in stead of LSU, but i'm glad they participated)

All in all the trip was fun. I enjoyed the tail gating, and enjoyed little rock. But i am very disappointed with the character and actions of the Arky fans. I've never had a blind dislike for them like i do an Auburn fan, but now i do. they were pathetic.

end rant, :CSB:

Yeah, I really didn't get the level at which it was personal for them. The difference is we expect to win and they just got the biggest win in program history according to the arky fans around me.

I lived in Arkansas for a few years in the mid-80s, when they had competitive football and basketball teams in the SWC. I learned to hate the Razorbacks with a passion until I realized something: there is nothing, literally nothing, else in the state for people to get excited about. They have no pro teams and they have no other college sports teams that are worth a shite. So when UA fields a good team in any sport, they go totally apeshit because UA is the only game in town.

I think ya'll should be more concerned with your 9 points and 75 yards of O in the second half with 5* WR's on the field going against a Soph CB with 2 starts and a true freshman CB on the other side...

thats just me though

When a team incorporates the Deliverance tune into their "get the crowd excited" routine, that says it all.

I didn't realize the real hate these pig fans have for LSU. It reminds me of the long term hate we've had for Ole Miss. I had a mother with children in tow holler at me something about how miserable I must feel. It was just a football game that we played poorly in and lost on the road. I guess they've never traveled to an away game and lost. You feel bad because your team didn't play up to its potential but the experience is enjoyable actually because you had fun and got to experience it. Oh and that stadium annoucer leading the first down cheer is the lamest thing I've ever seen in a football game. It seems they were mad because our traditions are way cooler than theirs and they are envious of us even in victory.

I know. The intensity of their fans about this game was interesting. They seem to really view us as a hated rival. They acted like they had just won the national championship after the game. I didn't realize until after the game when I was listening to their post game radio show that they have NEVER even played in a BCS bowl.

Most hate comes from the lack of respect Miles and the fan base has given us.

That Ar-kansas comment struck a nerve I think. Yall have had a hard time with us since.

That's from my opinion. Witht he lack of respect alot of you guys give the Arkansas program it makes me hate LSU and the fan base.

And let me add, your post is the start of earning that respect in my opinion.

You didn't come back with some "butthurt" comment. You made your point with class and in a way I was forced to say "you have a point there."

There are harsh fans everywhere, but I agree with your comments. I went the year of the Bluegrass Miracle and basically the same thing happened to us. Matt Jones was horrible all day and throws up a pass that they catch for a touchdown and a win. With the loss, we were out of the SECCG and they were in. My innocent mother was walking through the golf course to our car and she was cursed. She was just there to watch the game. Words got a little heated from there if you know what I mean
