Not one to say 5A is far superior because it's not, but what good 5A teams have those teams listed beat?

Perhaps not this year, but I know that Patterson beat Westgate easily last year before they came within a point of a 5A state championship appearance. They also lost to Hahnville by 1 point the year after they won a state championship and Hahnville went to the semis that years.

This year Parkview lost by only 2 TDs to an Acadiana team who has destroyed every other opponent besides STM as is clearly one of the state's best teams. And last year they beat a future quarter-finalist in Acadiana by nearly 3 TDs.

This and you have to include teams like Lutcher who used to be 3A and had a couple years where they were arguably the best team in the state.

It's not quite the same this year with Lutcher and St. Charles leaving, and St. James having a down year but following 3A through the years has shown me that it is the single toughest bracket to get through. West Monroe always makes the Dome, as well as Evangel and Curtis. 1A has been South Plaqs for several years now and used to be all about West St. John. 3A never has a team win back to back and only a couple even have 2 in the last 10-15 years. That is what I deem competition, not just 1 team winning it every year.

Gotcha, like I said there isn't a 3A presence in North LA. We rarely get to see any of the good teams up here.
