Hi fellow tigahs,
Been upgrading our tailgate for several years and trying to get a decent stereo set up. We've been using a pair of infinity towers (RS5) from a previous 5.1 system with a basic sony receiver to power them with ipod control. Looking to upgrade to a Peavey (or the like) of DJ type speakers with stands. Can someone please recommend a set up with amp and something to allow mp3 control. Thanks...

I have a Kustom Profile One PA System. Very easy to use and pretty good sound. Cord plugs right into ipod or phone.

You can get it for around $300.00
Its nice you can go with 2 speakers at 50' apart. Plug a microphone in, or even plug in instruments.
Mainly I just use it for plugging in an ipod/phone.
Very simple setup. If you live in BTR I can show it to you sometime.
