I nominate Tiger_n_ATL. He is without a doubt the biggest negatiger/negaMiles fan we have, self proclaimed I might add. He is the best at giving LSU/Miles semi credit for a win and in the same sentence, saying just how horrible both are.

Props to Tiger_n_ATL, the best of the worst!

Negatigers are laying low right now. They're waiting for the next loss.

Do realitigers count? I think it would be good for the long-term success of the program if Miles left sooner rather than later.

Really? What bothers you more with a possible 12-1 finish and possible #1 recruiting class? The wins or the future recruits?

I won't be blinded by short-term results that are often heavily influenced by luck. The process still stinks.

I'm not laying low I'm right here.

Miles is still not a great coach no matter what you want to say about him or about me. I'm bullet proof, you can say what you want, it won't change my opinion of him, his debacles have been documented on film for millions to see not one, not two but four or five times or more as proof of this fact.

I defended Miles from Maximus and SFP, LSUfoosball and Dukke for years, but finally saw the light and just realized, we are stuck with the guy no matter what, it doesn't mean I have to like him to support the team.

So MsGoofballDouchebagTigerFan with your head in the sand and your borderline pathetic platitudes for Les Miles, who most in the CFB world recognize as one of the poorest tactical, strategic, and X's and O's coach in the history of college football, who had a golden platter laid out in front of him and still managed to almost destroy it, you with your braying and obnoxious "I'm calling somebody out on a message board" mentality", have your day now because the chickens will come home to roost eventually, and they will believe me.

But in all due respect for a fellow Tiger fan, I'll be sure not to start a thread to call you out when Les Miles fricks something up again.

your comment is based on assumptions not fact. So you are a negatiger. Nowhere near reality.

Every successful season involves luck. Admittedly, LSU has had more fortune than normal but, we also made our luck.

As far as I can tell, the argument against Miles is that he talks funny.

He's 2-2 against Saban and, I think, 3-3 against Meyer. (I could be wrong on the last one). So if we compare him to the "elite" coaches with elite talent, he measures up. He just talks funny. So let's fire him and get a smooth talker.

The winner is the one who just pwned you in your own thread. There's nothing funnier than a ranter starting a thread and then getting abused in it. But I wouldn't expect anyone from Mississippi to really get it.

You're making a point that is WAY more polarized than it should be. Miles was handed a golden platter, true. He did not, however, nearly destroy it. He won a national championship in 2007. He had a down year in 2008 due to the departure of the entire defense, two quarterbacks and a DC. He had a solid (if unspectacular) year in 2009 in the rebuilding phase. Now he's set to have a very good (2005-2007 good) year in 2010.

I'll agree that he's not a great coach from a strategic standpoint. It's pretty obvious that he makes calls that no other coach in America would make. Tom Osbourne went for 2 in the national championship game instead of kicking the XP and playing for overtime. Miles makes calls like that on a weekly basis.

But he has coached his team to a 10-1 regular season record admist a hurricane. He won a national championship, he's reached a 10-win season with two games left to play while coaching around his quarterbacks for the first 8 games of the season. He pulls in recruits like nobody's business.

No, Les Miles is not the stone-faced disciplinarian or the tactical general that people feel he should be. If that is your expectation, then I can see why you believe that he should be gone sooner rather than later.

But he runs a clean program, his players love to play for him. He has a very impressive win/loss record both overall and in conference. If you're a process-oriented fan, Miles annoys the shite out of you because he seldom follows conventional wisdom. But he is unconventional and it works for him.

I've argued this point with you for so long that you can recognize that my position is nothing new. Miles remained in my good graces by a single thread after the Tennessee game. But now I have found that my faith was rewarded.

Miles is not the virus to LSU football. He is a very good coach who knows the strengths and weaknesses of the entire team, himself included. He does what he does because he has the faith in his team that they will do this. That speaks volumes to me.

I will not say that Miles' future is secured. He could very well falter down the line and lose his job. But at a time when 2008 and 2009 can now be recognized as the natural ebb and flow of conference powers, I think he has secured his place for the next few years.

So suffer if you must while Miles continues to post wins in closer than they should be games, while at the same time making insane calls that produce amazing results to win the big ones. Your position will never change... I will alter mine on a case-by-case basis.
