I just played the most amazing game of NCAA 11 online

Against a guy with a career record of 62-37 (gharper24 in case you want to verify)... so he was no slouch.
He was the home team and selected Florida, 6th ranked with an A- overall. I expected to lose, anyway, so I said what the hell and picked Miami of Ohio, overall D, just to see how close I could keep the score.
Anyway, in the first half he just ran and ran... I tried to play 4-3 and 4-4 but he was slicing right through me. Near the end of the first half it was 28-0, Florida. He kicked off to me with 50 seconds left in the second quarter, and I decided to go exclusively 5 wide. After a few big pass completions down the middle I stayed in the 5 wide set but ran a QB draw in for a TD with 5 seconds left, then did the same for a 2 pt. conversion. So, 28-8 at halftime. I would have been content just to have scored.
But I took the second half kickoff and passed my way down the field again and scored to make it 28-15.
Apparently he was getting annoyed now and decided he wanted to put up some quick points, so started passing. I managed to sack Brantley twice in succession but on 3rd down he hit a pass just short of the first down. On 4th and 1 I merely conceded the first down... I just didn't want to get hit with a big pass play, so played Dime with a corner blitz. But wouldn't you know the fool called a pitch to Demps right to where my cornerback was blitzing. Six yard loss, turnover on downs, and first and ten for Miami-Ohio at the Florida 36. Boom... deep pass over the middle. Boom... Slant for a touchdown, and now it's 28-22, Florida.
Enough is enough, I guess he thought, so went back to some runs... he ate up some clock, but got sacked near midfield on 3rd down and was forced to punt.
Now supremely confident in my passing game it took about 8 passes to drive 85 yards for the go ahead touchdown. 29-28, Miami-Ohio midway through the fourth quarter! This can't be real.
Anyway, he took the kickoff and then decided to win instead of piling up the points, so marched deliberately down to a first and goal down to my 5 yard line. Instead, though, of then playing for a touchdown he decided to just run out the clock and kick a game winning field goal. Unfortunately for him, though, I managed to preserve 20 seconds for one last gasp for a win.
So, down 31-29 with 20 seconds left I received a very short kickoff... he tried to squib it but it hit one of my players near the 40 who scooped it up and went down at about the 45. 17 seconds left. Bomb over the middle. First and 10 at the Florida 33 with 9 seconds left.
Can my kicker kick a 50 yard FG? Who the hell knows... I've never played with this chump team before... so I decided to try to get just a bit closer.
Now thoroughly wary of his vulnerable deep middle, I just hit a 5 yard quick out to make the kick a little more manageable. So, at his 28 with just 4 seconds left, after he tried to ice me with two timeouts, I kicked a 45 yard FG that just BARELY, and I mean barely, crossed the crossbar.
Miami-Ohio 32, Florida 31. Final.
I think it's an omen for App State.
My QB ended up 19 of 33 for 357 yards against a good pass defense.
How'd you like my story.

Great story! Welcome to the addiction, btw....
Those type games are like crack to an addict...they will get you addicted to playing online. I find playing another person so much more fun than blowing out the computer.

I played a guy saturday night and he was using Oklahoma and I was LSU. He got up 14-0 on me in the first quarter running no huddle and the same fricking plays over and over. I tried to keep up with him by throwing and it wasn't working. Dude onside kicked and I wasn't paying attention and he got it for his 3rd TD in the first quarter. He didn't score the rest of the game. I buckled down and just ran the ball with Ridley and Ford and when he tried to stuff the run I passed. I ended up winning 49-21. I shut him out in the remaining 3 quarters. I love comming back from behind to win.

No he didn't actually. I sent him a IM thanking him for not quitting. I haven't had many people quite lately. I even played this little kid and was crushing him and he took his medicine.
