I'm not sure if any of the shows i'm watching will last long

NOF is ok but not good enough to Last

The defenders I think is good but I don't know if it will last

The whole truth I don't think has a chance of lasting long, I've been considering giving up on it.

The Event probably won't last long but we will see.

so are there any shows that will last a while or will all the new shows be canceled in a few years.

Actually you are probably doing more unless you happen to have a Neilson Box.

I am going with Walking Dead. I am not sure any of the listed shows are going to make to a second season. I fully expect The Event, The defenders, and NOF not to get picked up for next year.

You know those rating systems are flawed. They don't take in account houses that have more than two television sets, and other things of that nature.

Whether or not it is flawed isn't really the point. If you have one, you should watch shows you like live on whatever TV is set up to give information back to Nielsen.

Walking Dead FTW. That show if killing in the ratings. No way it doesn't get picked back up unless they turn it into a zombie musical the final 3 episodes.

It is the first ratings hit AMC has ever had. It does look stupidly expensive but if the ratings it is getting this season continue it should be on for quite a while.

Edit: FYI it has already been picked up for a 13 episode second season.

I don't get where it looks so expensive. Other than shutting down a street in Atlanta for one season, how much could it cost to get a few people to agree to dress up like a bunch of dead people and stumble around? The other scenes were in a small town and the woods. Not much cgi I'm sure other then making the zombies #'s appear to be more than they actually are.

Mike and Molly

ETA: I really liked the idea of Hawaii 5-0 but i don't expect it to last very long.

Too much "let me get my friend with really high up connections to do something really incredible and risk their job for me".

Location shooting + lots of extras = Very Expensive

Edit: At the very least it looks significantly more expensive than AMC's other shows.

Does anyone watch Blue Bloods with Tom Selleck? This is one of my favorite new shows.

George Romero paid people 1 dollar and a t-shirt to get them to be zombies. I can't imagine the zombie extras getting too much money to get bad arse makeup put on and shuffle around. Personally, I'd do it just for a t-shirt. I have no clue really I'm just throwing that out there.
