If LSU had a dominating offensive line, their offensive schemes and passing game would fall into place.
Consistently being able to run the ball would open passing lanes, and make the schemes look brilliant.
I don't know if the problem is personnel or coaching, but the OL is not among the best in the SEC.

I disagree with the offensive line being the main problem. Our passing game has been so lethargic that teams don't have to respect the air attack on 1st and 2nd down. We run the ball 75% of the time. When the opponent knows you are running the ball right at them ex. alabama and you rush for over 200 yrds credit has to be given to the OL. Play action would really be effective in my opinion.

1) this isn't news that our OL isn't "one of the best"

2) coach should at least be able to scheme for what he's got. OL is important but not impearative for a decent offense.

3)The line is young and only improving- future will be much better.

4) probably a bit of both a personel and coaching problem, both of which will hopefully be improving next year.

QB is still the main problem. Every team in the S EC knows we can not throw the ball consistently. Just put 9 in the box.

OL was the main offensive issue last yr, this yr it's by far QB play. the OL has played much better, especially considering the injuries.

hell, I think WR play as whole (catching AND blocking) is prob a bigger issue than OL has been this yr.

It all starts with coaching. I agree that OL is a problem. It has been a problem for several years now. Miles is an offensive line coach, but he is not our offensive line coach. Studrawa is the problem.

Offensive Line is not a problem. Our QBs have gotten enough time to pass. We have managed to run the ball well even though teams are loading the box. Our line sucked last year because there was little in way of talent and experience It is much improved this year and we have been without a starter for almost the entire season.

I have been to the games and I know the offensive line is a problem. I'm just glad that it looks like it's going to be getting a lot better as the current guys improve and the recruits we are bring in are very good. I have watched qb's like T. Pryor stand back and have 6 seconds to throw the ball and they look amazing. Many of our wr routes are downfield routes that take some time to develop and our qb's don't have the time. That is why Lee doesn't start. Jefferson can run which stop the d-line from just pinning their ears back and he can also escape some of the pressure. Hell even on Jeffersons best past play against Bama, he was getting crushed when he released the ball.

The main problem in the OC. A good OC and qb coach would've been able to develop our qb's better...they still may not have been steller, but could have been coached better and used more as game managers and leaders.

It's hard for a o-line to block when they are walking 8 or 9 defenders in the box to stop the run and blitzing on every passing down. It stems from the lack of a passing game no one respects or fears us in that aspect of the game so other teams are bring players up to stop the run that is their number one priority on defense.

JJ had 4 seconds to throw the ball on the big play to Randle. Our QBs have had plenty of time to throw.

The passing lanes are WIDE OPEN now on first and second down.

if we had auburn's OL, we'd be undefeated and our stats would be much higher. our OL looks fine on some plays but breaks down on far too many.

the problem is that the offensive game plan is so predictable a defense knows exactly what were running

I agree. Everything starts in the trenches. Give me a great O-line over any other aspect on offense.

Example: Charles Scott his Sophomore season had a great O line. However, when those guys graduated his statistics were not as outstanding!

The whole process is a "Catch 22" cycle. Everything (offensive line, rushing, passing, schemes) would be better if all were good.
However, the "block" is the first play in the cycle.
