Its really a stupid arguement. What if the winning TD had occured with ten minutes remaining in the third quarter after the same series of events? I doubt if anyone would be making this arguement except for its occurence at the end of the game. Rule violations are rule violations regardless of when they occur.

If CLEMSON could score a TD in overtime Auburn would not be undefeated.
