How many vacuum bags do you go through? I always thought about getting one but I have always froze items in water. What other things do you use the vacuum for?
mostly use it for wild game. however, i re-use my bags. i simply by the bags and wash when i'm done emptying them. i haven't did much hunting in the last few years but my son is. so, other than wild game and bags of tater chips, i don't really use it.

I use my Sous Vide Supreme a lot more than I thought I would. It's handy to have and once you start using it, you will start thinking up all kinds of ways to use it.

I wear out my vacuum sealer, I buy a lot of stuff in bulk from Sam's and freeze it it portion control sizes. Like ground beef, flank steak, pork loins, strip steaks, salmon.
I also package ready meals like spaghetti sauce, stews, pastas, very easy to thaw in boil bag. Also for curing meats, put it in the bag, pour in the curing brine, seal, refrigerate, turn every few days and wait 3 weeks.

Mine will be that plastic egg cracker they advertise on TV. Cracks eggs perfectly, no mess, no fuss.
I have all the Ronco gadgets too, but I need this to round out my collection of needless, bullshite things!![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconbow.gif)

I've broken two of the cheap ones from Sur La Table already. Cheap, cheap, cheap. If I ever get another, it'll be a nice one like that. Those good ones around $80?

Use my kitchen aid mixer with attachments for all of these. Works really well.

was thinking about the size limitation of the SVS, but i didnt realize the price diff was that high. Also my understanding is that the SVS does not circulate the water.
