I hunt no matter what, so I really dont worry about the moon cycle.

Although, we've killed more big bucks on the morning of a full moon than other phases

My loony cycle started last night when I was trying to go to sleep.
I always get excited the week before opening day. I usually get so shaken up I throw up on my way to the camp.

Anyone want to explain to me what they look at when studying the solunar pattern?

I've never really paid attention to this but I'll do anything to keep improving

Well, my kids (and the kids of friends and neighbors) all start losing their fricking minds around a full moon, so I suspect it would also influence "lower" animals.

I have noticed just a few things over the years.
1. Increasing moon at 3/4 - deer in the food plots as I go to my afternoon stands.
2. Full moon - mid day has bucks walking.
3. Decreasing moon at 3/4 - sucks major arse all times of the day except during rut.

I use to not trust them but I read the alabama Game and Fish a few years ago and it said the best time to hunt was at 2 a.m.

I got in my stand about midnight at at 2 a.m. on the nose I turned on the Q-Beam and "Boom" the man was standing right in the middle of the green field. I dropped him in his tracks. 12 point that score 186.

Now I only hunt the rut and the moon cycle and I have had a lot of success recently.

a woman ovulates every 28 days,
the moon revolves around the earth every 28 days.
