Had an argument at lunch that LSU actually did have rivalries, even though there is not a single 1 game that is known exclusively as "The Game"....It was with a Texas fan of course, so that is why I reference comparison to OU-TAMU.

In fact, if you look at Texas, for instance, even if they claim OU as THE big game, they have an additional pretty damn big one with TAMU...Same with OU in that Texas might be The big game, but Bedlam with Ok State is no slouch either..

Now, compare to LSU...

LSU is probably not THE big game for any team, save maybe Ole Miss or possibly Arky (at least a tie with the Egg Bowl I would think for Miss St, and not sure Arky hates any SEC team more than LSU), but even if they did consider us their biggest game we would not consider it that way in return...

BUT, LSU is in the top 2 (or at least top 3, depending on where Bama and Florida fans rank us in comparison to Tenn) with 5 SEC foes/teams each and every year...

So on balance LSU has as much, and arguably more, of a total "rivalry factor" as Texas and OU do...

Point is, I think our situation is better over all in terms of "rivalry factor", or at least as good.

LSU has 5 annual rivalries...and they are all anticipated eagerly each and every year

For me, I think Bama is the biggest, although Auburn is right there.

Let's beat the shite outta Bama!

You have a valid argument IMO. Wikipedia college football rivalry listings are as follows.
Alabama- LSU #3 rivalry
Florida- LSU #4 rivalry
Ole Miss- LSU #2 rivalry
Arkansas- LSU #2 rivalry
Strangely Auburn's rivalries are not listed there but I can tell you that my friends in Auburn rank LSU #3 behind 'Bama and UGA.
Oh, and Tulame's #1 rivalry is still listed as LSU.

I question this source for this particular "fact". Anyone with an account can go in and assert this. Granted, my estimates are guesses/assertions also.

What about Texas A&M

Wiki is a quick reference and is generally accurate in such matters. I can tell you that friends in Miss. Alabama and Florida all pretty much agree with the assessments of the individual school references. Pretty much backed up your point as well.

It would defintely be a great one and I think most wanted LSU-TAMU to restart...that would make 6 annual rivals of high significance for LSU
