Bellenelli plays hard on D, but he isn't exactly a lock down defender. I'm thinking CP3. I know Wade has the size advantage over him, but I remember last year when we played the Cavs, Paul defended James, and even defended Durant at the end of the OKC games last year.

If Wade goes off I'd expect to see lots of Willie Green unless Marco or Marcus are matching his offensive output.

I don't think the Hornets can afford to have Paul guard anyone other than the shitty Heat PGs. Miami is a great defensive team. Paul creating offense will be crucial if New Orleans is going to have a shot in this game.

Whoever is in at the 2 will IMO. We'll probably see a lot of Green though.

Yeah I think we'll start off with a defense by commitee, letting BellyNelly start and guard Wade then Green off the bench, but if it comes down to a last second shot, I think we see Paul sticking him

Ariza - James
CP3 - wade
West - Bosh
Belli - Arroyo
Okafor - Anthony

Last year when the hornets played the Cavs... Cp3 guarded James so the matchups should be interesting
Probably see a lot of Green and never know pondexter plays really good def so he might make his debut

To be fair, that was under Scott and Bower. This is Monty Williams. You can assume, but we really don't know anything as fact.

It's not the X's and the O's it's the Jimmy and the Joes.

seriously, does anyone think Belly is going to? Unless we play a zone all game,Paul is going to guard Flash.

CP3 guarded Wade and Lebron when we had no one else that would play defense...

things may be different this year.

with that beings said, I say we play the 2-3 zone.

I'd rather bust out the 1-3-1. Just keep your hands in the passing lanes... It works like a charm

By the way they play ball which is heavily dribble the ball and then find something at the end or whichever star has the ball do something with it, I think it'll work as long as its spread out and have capable defenders on the wings it works.. Or the 3 -2 since the inside is nonexistent.

I can't see the 1-3-1 working too well in the NBA with the illegal defense rules. You'd have two men sitting in the paint who would have to continuously shift over which would open up the lane for cutters.

We used to always play 1-3-1 back in the day, loved it

I loved me some 1-3-1 in highschool. If done right, it's hard to score against for teams who haven't seen it much.

I'm afraid of Wade taking CP into the post, last year that's all he did was post up on the baseline
