Looking to buy one in the next couple of weeks and wondered what the board's opinion of the different models were?
May even decide to get a 4-seater if I can find a decent deal. I don't plan on needing to get in any serious terrain with it, just some muddy farm roads, etc.
Also, how much risk/reward is there in going used vs. new?
Thanks for any help

Polaris has the best layout IMO, but I have heard several complaints about the electronics of them.
If I were buying one it would be a Honda Big Red.
If money weren't an option and I needed it more for farm work, I'd buy the Kubota.
If you want to save a little money the Kawasaki Mule's are nice too. I have a couple of friends that have them and they have no complaints.

The Kubota looks real nice. Thought about trying to get my dad to buy one.

we have a couple mules at the camp and my biggest complaint is that they are sluggish and don't have much top speed
our duck lease requires a pretty good ride, so the faster we can get there the better

As to the buying used, one of my closest friends sells Polaris and Suzuki. He told me to do NOT buy used. The ones he gets in are alway beat to hell.
Because he sells them I am partial to the Polaris. Don't know anything about the Can-Am.
The Honda Big Red is too wide for my likes. I'd bet it's at least 6 inches wider than the Polaris.
My FIL has a Kubota, for a farm that has access to farm diesel, I would probably get one. But, be aware that they are VERY heavy and not fast at all. 30mph or 35mph is the top speed.

A large portion of the group I ride with all went out and bought Polaris RZRs..... all have sold them a year later. They spent more time in the shop being fixed than on the trails.

Dad had the Artic Cat Prowler - loved it but it needed bigger than stock tires for the rice field.
Hunting buddy runs the Yamaha and its a beast. It got stuck once but was some nasty stuff! And we were able to pick it up (3 of us) out of the rut and move on!
