Would you pay 1k for a 2000 Arctic Cat 300 4x4. It's a friend of mine's, well cared for. Serviced at an authorized dealer, etc...

I have a 2000 artic cat 300 4x4, bought new, and wouldn't take 1k for it. The 2000 model was pre- artic cat motors. Suzuki was building them back then and produced one of the best motors out there. I can't tell you how many Hondas, Kawasakis and other ATVs I have pulled out the mud or off stumps. Geaux for it.

that's what i was thinking! my dad has 98 that be bought new and that damn thing still cranks up on the first shot and has never had any major issues. i think it's a bargain but just wondered what others thought..

if its in really good shape and been taken care of by your buddy then it's worth it. knowing the history is priceless when it comes to used ATV.

1K doesn't buy much these days. 2000 is not too old, 300 is a good size if you want a not-so-big bike, 4X4 adds considerable value, knowing the owner/history is a big, big plus.
Altogether = no-brainer to me - classic buddy deal. Just look around like on LA Sportsman and see what 1K will buy you.

Would you buy a new Arctic Cat? I see them as Bass Pro and they seem kind of pricey. However, I know a few guys who have them and would have no other.
