Let's see what happens next Saturday.
Bottom line is Saban took over a losing program and got us our 1st National Championship in almost 50 years.
Miles took over a winning program with tons of talent and won a BCS.
However, the trend in 2008 and 2009 was a decline in quality of play and losses. Simultaneously, Saban took over a down AL program and went over 2 regular seasons with no losses and a BCS. While LSU played undisciplined, made mistakes and lost games, Saban immediately took AL in the opposite direction.
The "we are our own worse enemy" trend lingers into Year 3, coincidentally since the Saban recruits graduated.
You are comparing apples to oranges when you talk about the condition of our program when Saban took over to when Miles took over.
Just my opinion -if Miles had been hired instead of Saban, LSU never would have won a BCS or had such a successful streak. What pisses people off is the perception that Saban builds Elite and winning programs while Miles has a hard time sustaining an elite program that he took over.
Let the season play out and look at the full 3 year results. If we nose dive (as we have the past 2 years) in the back 5 games of the season, LSU will have a trend of not playing to potential due to the coaches. If we win out, there is obviously no concern.
The situation will take care of itself.
