The program was in fricking shambles. The point was to show the difference in the state of the program when Saban arrived, and the state of the program when Miles arrived.
The talent was there and it needed direction-Saban gave that but to pretend that he was walking into this god awful situation like he was trying to play in the SEC with this years southeastern team like some people do is a misnomer.

The talent was there. I am in no way disagreeing with that. But there is a big difference when a coach walks into a situation where the previous staff was fired, and walking into a situation where the previous coach was given total control of an NFL franchise.

Tigerfan, I've read your post over the last week or so. You dimiss anyone who doesn't agree with you precieved wisdon on all matters football and I guess life. Let me tell you I have been a Miles supporter since his hire. I have been around long enough to see the ebb and flow of college football, and to know that Miles must make changes. The problem you run into and the problem I guess you are addressing when you say the "kids" and let me add I don't disagree is the extrmist who go to great lengths to bash Miles and the program they are supposed to support. What I'm telling you is people are frustrated and you can bring out all the records and stats you want it dosen't change where we are now. Which is 7-1 with a very poor looking offense which does not give LSU fans confidence we can beat the hated Saban. Spin it how you want but the Coaches have not to date done their job to improve this team on one side of the ball. Miles is accountable, I don't bash him constantly, I'm not calling for him to be fired, I'm calling for him to make the changes he needs to make to bring this team to where we want it to be. But with the recent history it does not look like he is the man to do it. That is my point he has lost the confidence in most of the fan base, if he beats Bama my mind will change, but lose and it only gets worse.

02, 04, 08, 09, 10 teams all have one thing in common. The QB play was bad. 02 was bad after mauck got hurt (marcus randall). 04 was bad because Mauck was supposed to stay for senior year and JR and Flynn would have been 3rd year QB's in 2005. 08 QB play was bad, but Defense was even worse. If Perrilloux had stayed, he still couldn't have helped that defense. We win maybe 1 more game that year. Everyone knows about last year and this year.
My point is that Saban has 1 loss in the regular season over the last 3 years. He isn't God, but the coaching ability isn't close between him and Miles. Self Deception is an awful thing, so take the blinders off.
