In May on ESPN against Cleveland?

That's what happens when you miss the playoffs and your star player is expected to be gone by the all star break. Hornets have to win to be relevant again.

Yeah, if we win, CP's happy, or we make a big trade (a positive one), we'll find out way onto National TV. Otherwise, we are where we probably should be.
But personally, I think its another problem with the NBA...the players are marketed, not the teams.

agreed, been that way since The Jordan I think
IMO Hornets are not a good team, therefore national TV games ain't happening

I'd imagine the only reason we got that game is because it's against a recent former coach and makes a story for them.

then the playoffs begin.

Hornets West
Cavs East
won't play in the playoffs

i heard they were gonna have this new thing called the NBA Finals this year...
the Eastern Conference Champions will play against the Western Conference Champions in a best of 7 series to determine an NBA Champion.
it was a little optimistic joke...
it really shouldn't have taken this much explanation.

We play a game against Utah on a Thursday in March on the 24th. I'm sure if we're both good, TNT will pick that one up and drop whatever other game is scheduled for that night.
Yeah, checking the TNT game schedule there are no games scheduled for that night, so they'd probably pick it up.

Don't ESPN/ABC and TNT use flex scheduling later in the year so they can have good games or showcase a breakout team/player?
