Knock down power is a greatly misused term. You dont really knock down anything. What your bullet does is destroy tissue, organs, and break bones,denying blood and oxygen to the body and that is what kills game. There are many , many reports of shooting very small antelope with elephant calibers and they sail right thru and the animal acts like it is not even hit for a few seconds before toppling over.

This in my mind and experience dispells the notion of knock down power.

But what specifically is your question???

So true. I read a study done by the FBI that explained that people falling down when shot is mostly psychological, rather than physical.
