Every day its a new post on who should start or if JL should start and I'm just sayin it clearly does NOT matter who starts OR who plays. Now I realize that JJ can run the ball better and JL can sometimes throw a prettier pass but lets grab a hold of reality: We are going into the 9th game and each of these guys has only thrown 2 TD--TWO.

For comparision chris Relf of Miss St. has 6 TD, Larry Smith of Vandy has 5 TD and Matt Simms of Tenn has 7 TD. Most TD.com members would look down their noses at these guys the week before LSU played against them. These guys are all SEC QBs and none of them have double digit TD numbers but even Larry Smith has the same number of TD passes as JJ + JL + Spencer Ware.

Can we all just move on from this now and support whoever is behind center this year? Because truthfully you gotta admit there's not much difference in passing production between the two.

I would have really liked to see Lee play a full game just to see. We'll never know now I guess. Hard to get into a rhythm when you play 19 sporadic snaps a game.

Well, Lee hasn't been given all the 1st string reps for a week and gotten to play a whole game, so no, I'm not going to change my opinion until you try everything to make the offense better.

I'll support whoever is under center... JJ or JL. I like them both.

But these are the facts:

JJ's rating is 87.7 (111th out of the 112 FBS qb who qualify)

JL's rating is 134.7, which would put him around 45th in FBS if he qualified.

JJ is putting together one of the worst passing seasons in history. It's not working.

I can distance myself and lower my expectations for LSU, if that is what you mean. Oh wait... I already have.

Les should go to the Dietzel "Platoon" concept. Make T.C. McCartney the QB for Offense Platoon #3. Change a platoon every series. It'd be ugly Betty ball but can't look much uglier than what's going on right now with JJ and J. Lee taking turns being hot-cold-cold-cold-cold-warm-cold-cold-hot-cold-cold-cold... Test it out against ULM. LSU women's B-ball team can thrash this season's ULM football team. McNeese will look like Nebraska compared to those jokers from Monroe. lol

This is the only sensible thread. We all just need to chill and let the team do it's best. Hopefully we will get a QB in here for next year. But I would like to beat Bama with no QB. That would be awesome!

I'm pretty sure if Lee was given a complete game then he would have at least 5 by now.

Even if Lee gets the start (which is what I would like to see), it probably won't matter. The offensive scheme and o-line play are deficient. We have multiple problems.

I would personally want to know what the other qb could do for a whole game before I start saying maybe we will get a qb next year

Since Lee has been twice as good as Jefferson this year, I have to think that it would matter if he gets the start.

also unless lee throws a td from outside the 10 yard line...(unless there is only a few seconds left and no timeouts) then he doesn't even get to finish what he started. This is a stupid post. Lee hasn't gotten the opportunity so to rank him against other full time starters is completely ignorant. He is by far the better qb, and certainly the smarter qb and has proven to be clutch. I knew this was going to happen the first time lee did not come out and be superman.......that is the mentality on here.....he doesn't deliver one time so he is garbage...despite bailing our arse out on two different games this year......wow.

Dude no coach, even the worst coach in the world has Joe Montana or Dan Marino on the sidelines and keeps him there. If JL was really as good or flat-out heads and shoulders better than JJ do you really think he would ride the pine?

I've been saying this from the start, and I do hate saying it but, LSU has NO Division 1 STARTING QB on this team...nuff said..

Change this sentence around a bit, and you can say this about a ton of Miles mistakes

Jefferson is about the worst QB I have ever seen in my life.

The QB rotation we are doing is stupid. It's formalistic and there is no chemestry.

Jefferson is our "running" QB that doesn't run all that well.

Why can't we let Lee start and play a few series and see what he can do and if he is doing well, let him keep playing. How F'n hard is that?

And if we HAVE to have a running qb, why can't we teach Ware the wildcat plays like every other team in the country who runs a wildcat with a running back instead of forcing our non-running running quarterback to run it.
