That describes the Miami Heat.

I hope they don't win a single title.

I will be pulling against them all year.

Yup, this needed it's own thread.

But no they don't have to many chiefs. Lebron has always been a pass first player and Bosh isn't a leader either. Lebron may be the best player on the team but it's still Wade's team.

I think it has more to do with them playing there 1st game together, on the road, against a really good team.

Not to mention an obviously rusty Wade. Wade and Bosh combined to shoot like 25% or something and they were STILL only down 3 with a minute to play.

Everyone thinking they learned so much about the Heat tonight in ONE game, there first of the year, are completely going overboard.

Thank you!!!Somebody that knows basketball. You just can't throw a team together and expect them to dominate right off the bat. Take the 2004 USA men's team.

I think the one thing people learned/should have already known,is that they are going to struggle with teams that have size like the C's.

While your point is correct, that didn't really play out tonight.

When you go through the list of why the Heat lost, the size is pretty far down on the list.

Celtics had 3 more rebounds, and didn't really dominate down low.

It was just a bad shooting night for Bosh/Wade coupled with the usual Celtics really good defense.

I'm not sure how it finished at the end, but at half Celtics had 12 points in the paint, C's had 26.

I assume you mean Heat 12, Cs 26.

Fair point.

WOW! It's the first game of the season! On the road against the top team in the Eastern Conference! All 3 have played in a game together for a total of 3 minutes before tonight and you are already writing them off. Keep in mind, Mike Miller is out too.

I think the polarizing reaction to the Heat was expected.

They're the Superteam...getting lots of hype coming in, and since nothing like this has ever happened, nobody really knew what to expect.

Basically, it has already become trendy for people to hope that they lose, (2007 Patriots ring a bell?)

I think they showed some glaring issues tonight, but I definitely don't think they're in trouble. Just takes time to gel and figure out what works best.

However, they're not going 73-9, and they're not winning the title, IMO. Not yet.

I understand, but the Celtics are still #2 in the power rankings and for crying out loud, look who they have...
-Paul Pierce
-Ray Allen
-Kevin Garnett
-Shaq
-Rondo
-Glen Davis
-Kendrick Perkins

That's a freaking Superteam if any...

Exactly!!!

Which is why it is ridiculous that everyone is reading so much into this game.

A little to be expected though when you had people forecasting whether or not they would top 70 wins.

True, but that was a very small contingent of people, I think.

And most of those saying that are probably the MSB posters we never take seriously any way.
