Don's is very crowded at lunch, so either go early or a little late or be prepared to wait just a bit. I love going there because it reminds of when I was a child.

Don't know about the greatest restaurant in Lafayette, but you might investigate Nash's or Poboy's Riverside if they're open on Sunday nights. I've enjoyed both. The atmosphere at Nash's is very conducive to date dining and I would imagine it would be festively decorated that time of year. It's a neat Victorian house.

Sunday night might be tough.

If they're not open on Sundays, then you might just have to eat on top of Choc's van down by the river.

Oh and for Sunday brunch, you mentioned Blue Dog, which is excellent. You may also try Charlie G's out on Ambassador Caffrey by the mall. Good Sunday Brunch as well.

No boure', my knuckles are too sore afterwords. How bout we go Sunday evening down to Henry to Don's Boston Bayou landing, bait, tackle and bar to watch the evening sunset over a few Schlittz beers on outdoor foldup garden chairs in the gravel parking lot. If the Ms prefers, they have wine in the bag, or, in the box. Do you parlais francais? You see, I am as cultured as Gris! Maybe she'd like to go with us? If so, I wouldn't invite Zu Zu and Shaniquaa (pronounced ai-a). Gris don't like them...
