Was at the game and did not feel they did. Just played a lot of music over the sound system. The palm palms gave it a different feel also.

all i heard was sandstorm playing every 10 minutes or so

I was there and did not hear piped crowd noise. They play music, but that's it.
Of course I was in the east uppers baking in the sun, so perhaps I am mistaken.
