Im a Lee supporter, but he was off his game yesterday. I know there were drops but he looks scared. JJ is running more like a running back and less like a QB, Auburn could stop JJ on designed runs, it only hurt us when he dropped back in 3 to 5 step drops and got sacked. This was 1 D that we could have run the option more on. Lee wasnt the guy yesterday but JJ was doing well.

JJ's legs kept us in the game. Fact - we need both JJ and JL. If JJ could pass, he would be the better option. As it is, we'll have to play both.

Okay, I'll bite...

More Russell Shepard at QB and we win. We all agree that Shepard is a better runner than Jefferson. Jefferson threw for about 48 yards and an interception. Give Shepard those snaps and let him run the zone read, and he might take Jefferson's 9 yard gains and make them 20 yards.

Lee also hurt his right wrist. Lee is right handed. That may have effected his passing.

I agree and disagree to some extent. JJ was effective when used properly. I would have liked to see him on the move much more than he was. He's actually a pretty decent QB when he's rolling out and has the option to run if nothings there. He seems to throw better on the run anyway.

I could make an argument that JJ's pick on our first drive was a 14 point swing for Auburn and cost us the game too, though.

JJ = 115th ranked total offense in 24 starts

Lets try Lee for an entire game since we know that JJ brings us almost dead last in College football.

I agree both are needed, but to give the passing game a chance your main QB needs to be Lee.

The RS thing to me doesnt sound good. With Shep in the back field, you take away his side to side, and recieving , and coverage threats. EVERYONE knows he can not throw it, he cant even throw it like JJ. When need RS at WR for matchups end arounds, reads, options etc. I dont believe Shep can take any typ of hit. With JJ, when he is running well temas for some reason dont know what to do.

Our receivers consistently catching the ball would help also.

And JJ's pass to RR should have been caught. RR was scared to get hit and slowed up a bit, still hit him in both hands. He shoukd catch that. JJ and J Lee both missed wide open recievers everywhere.

RR should have caught that pass, I agree. I think Shep would be torn in half at QB, that's why he doesn't run between the tackles.

I'll say this about Jefferson. It's a shame that he brings nothing to the table in the passing game...because he really (finally) has improved running the ball.

But, in the end, he can't see the field and can't let the ball go in the pocket. For every positive play he makes, he's a drive killer when we get into long down and distance.

BUT, if our OLine can't protect better than it did yesterday, it won't matter which QB plays.

This is so ignorant! I call Bull shite! RS throws the ball exceptionally well! I've seen the video. Not a good argument! I think the worst move we made in the past two seasons is not letting RS play QB!

This. Our OL isn't giving the QB enough time to look down field.

Jefferson had a fine game other than two bad throws on drive one and a few poor decisions / throws thereafter. Play calling was horrendous yet again and JJs best runs were on scrambles. I have killed him in the past on his decision making but he made decisions and committed and got results.

Playcalling - Auburn has everybody up and they let Lee throw beyond 8 yards only once that I can recall. Our RB had the deepest downfield look. Also they did not try to pound it with Ridley when Lee was in. It's like with Lee they totally abandon game plan A which was working. Lee might be able to do a little something off play action as well.

Me neither. He can't figure out when he's supposed to be on the field after a timeout, but you guys want him leading our offense? Maybe this is his fault, maybe it's coaching; regardless, I'm tired of seeing this gifted athlete out of position and unprepared. There's no excuse for it.

Auburn had 8 in the box all night. There wasn't going to be much success on the ground. Until LSU can prove it can throw, this will be the dominant theme.
