Kind Hearts And Coronets
A charming young Englishman, gifted with culture and breeding but no money, feels cheated of his birthright and bitterly envies those in the upper crust whom he considers to be his inferiors. Ninth in line to inherit a dukedom, he sets his sights on becoming duke -- by murdering the eight people ahead of him in line.
My favorite movie of all time.
The screen's greatest dark comedy, a masterpiece of understated British wit and dryly brilliant dialogue, where every line is laced with irony and double meaning.
In a casting stroke of genius, all the murder victims are played by Alec Guinness. Every time we see him get bumped off, we're not too upset, since we know he'll be popping up again soon anyway.
DVR this to watch next week after football is over. You're in for a real treat.
