Found these pics on FB of a tree shaka caught in Houma. 11'-8" caught in bayou black near turtle bayou.

Looks like as fricking dinosaur! I've seen plenty this size in the water, but the that does no justice to the pic if it hanging!

I have seen 14 foot gators in the marsh out of amelia. Long ways back there, but well worth the ride. There is so many gators back there that you cant fish top water baits.

I fished a pond in Pierre Part like that. The bass and goggleeye fishing was amazing, but you couldn't throw any top waters. Gators were aplenty.

It's on private land by some kind of plant facility. One of my friends works there. Near Grand Bayou though.
I heard the catfish were biting in the main lake around the cypress trees though. On nightcrawlers.

I used to kill the bass in Bayou Tranquille on a black and blue jig. It's been a couple years since I've been though.
