LSU fan in Auburn Country

I was born a LSU fan, but I attend Auburn University. I have followed LSU football and been a fan ever since I can remember. I have friends and family that live in Louisiana. Only reason I go to AU is because I was awarded a scholarship for my major. Auburn is my most hated SEC team as well as NCAA football team. Grew up around them and I am just bitter towards them. I have been harassed on countless occasions on campus, in class, and off campus, while wearing my various LSU shirts and hats. I do nothing to provoke them. I am a quiet guy who does not boast when we win, just cheer. I am not writing this to whine about the harassing, because I don’t blame them for getting angry. I am on their turf in PURPLE and GOLD.

I will be at the game October 23, 2010 to cheer on the Bayou Bengal Tigers. I will be in the student section wearing either a purple ‘Death Valley’ shirt or my gold Toonces LSU shirt. (Sorry Toonces hater’s haha) If any of you ranters are at the game, I am sure many of you will be, look in the student section for 2 people wearing LSU colors standing next to eachother. I will be attending the game with my best friend’s father (also a LSU fan, originally from Kenner, Louisiana) and several of my friends from Auburn.

Before the Florida game a student I had never met passed by me and said, “I am going to Gainesville to watch LSU get ‘Twirked’ by Florida this weekend.” Proved him wrong.

After the Auburn South Carolina game I saw Cam Newton blowing kisses to the student section. It infuriated me. I need Drake Nevis, Kelvin Sheppard, PP7 and the rest of the team to sack, tackle, intercept, run, receive, score, kick, and block anything during the game. As long as we win this game, I will be ecstatic. I’m not trying to be a jerk, and I certainly don’t want anyone to get hurt.

I will be pulling for the tigers as hard as I can and I know all of my fellow LSU fans will be also. Let’s make it 4 years in a row and send our boys back to Louisiana 8-0.

I have been in the Auburn student section now for the SC, Clem, and Ark games. It gets pretty loud. Gene Chizik now sends out an e-mail to the student body telling us to “I want to challenge you again this Saturday. We need you in Jordan-Hare Stadium early and for you to be loud and energetic the entire game.” I am asking all fans to be as loud as you can for our team. There were barely any Arkansas fans that showed up to the game and I could tell a difference. I will be in Hell while the game is going on, but it is totally worth it.

I urge as many fans as possible come to the game. The team needs the Louisiana NOISE!
