Leaving Baton Rouge Friday morning for Auburn and have never been before. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to go out in Auburn?

Watch people with sheep
Watch cars rust
Watch LSU beat the shite out of Auburn
Seriously, Toomers Corner is about it....

Clemson SC is the spitting image of Auburn(no kidding), so withn three years of experience there, I would think absofrickinglutely nothing. The big annual event I am familiar with is the TPing of a tree in front of one store downtown. ETA: That's the name of the place Toomers' Corner.

I have never been to Auburn, Alabama but here are a few suggestions. Go on down to the local gas station and hang out by the cooler and sip on a NEHI strawberry pop. Really live, and put some peanuts in it. Awesome. After that, take the kids to see the War Eagle exhibit, the one with the redtail-hawks with glued-on beaks. Play "Hey Fightin' Tiger" really loud on their 8-track player, until Otis appears and throws up on the eagle/hawk. Then, for a good nightcap, join the locals at the Salvation Army (Auburn campus facility) and serve soup and crackers to the Auburn varsity. Should be a hoot...Good luck!

1) Tip cows
2) Breathe deep the scent of cow manure
3) Admire the immaculate and well laid-out trailer parks
4) Observe all the beautiful women...wearing purple and gold.

About 1/2 of what you can do in Hammond.

Choices:
1. Swim in the Hampton Inn pool
2. Drive 2 hours to Atlanta.
