I agree ... I've never liked the "conclusive video evidence" to overturn the call on the field.
If they're going to take the time to review it, they might as well let the official make the call they way it appears and not have some beyond reasonable doubt standard to overturn it.
I also think that with all the technology today I'm amazed there is not some laser that can be used on the goal line. When the ball crosses that laser, a light or something goes off so that it's absolutely correct when the ball crosses the plane.
