from another board "Game would have been closer had the Huntington coach not wanted to jack up his quarterback's stats and keep him in the game throwing the ball so he will stay the leading passer in the state. Haughton QB Dak Prescott didn't play but one series the second half. More than one objective observer relayed to me that "Haughton could've scored 100 if they had wanted too"

"This was not some "Haughton left their starters in and kept winging the ball all over the place" kind of game. Prescott threw 13 passes the entire night. Even though Haughton had subbed liberally by the middle of the third quarter, Huntington left their first offense in the entire game in an effort to pad Jones stats. 51 pass attempts later, Huntington had 42 points. There's no way Huntington can be upset about the outcome because it would have been very easy for them to shorten the game, but it does not involve throwing the ball 51 times.
