Didn't hear him on DP, but heard when Erin Andrews interviewed him before the Alabama game. I was shocked to how ignorant he sounded esp. when he referred to his armtrength in third person as 'The Legend of Ryan Mallet'.

After all I have heard about him I was surprised, I didn't think he didn't sound that bad at all. If you honestly think that he is the most ignorant/arrogant player in a while you haven't listened to many interviews.

Exactly.
He has an accent that is an ugly mix of backwoods thick-tongue with a hint of an urban rhythm, but his conversational grammar was not bad, at all.
Bad accents don't equate to ignorance, but poor grammar does.
