I agree, but it would have been because the fake field goal would have worked. The pass would have bounced off the receiver's hands up in the air back to the kicker who would have run the other direction and scored the touchdown to tie it.

Look, Saban is a brilliant college coach. No doubt about it.

But anyone who watched Saban's LSU teams knows that game day coaching is not his forte.

Why he decided to have his QB win the game for him instead of his tailbacks, will be answered when we can explain how in three separate LSU games, Saban allowed opponents to toss Hail Mary's to win the game in the final seconds against LSU.
