We should give Patrick Patterson a shot at playing QB.

They showed the play in the Cap One Bowl where Jefferson rolled to his left into pressure and then threw the ball straight into the ground while being tackled. So not only did he get sacked but he also got an intentional grounding penalty.

That would be something. If he can throw the ball over 5 yards he could play. That is about as effective as our qb has been to date.

What's the difference? Isn't the ball placed at the same spot wheather it's a sack or grounding?

The point is to unload it before the sack

Isn't grounding a ten yard penalty, unless the spot of the grounding is farther back from the line of scrimmage than ten yards?

I don't think so. I believe it is the spot of the foul and loss of down.
Correction: It is a 10 yds penalty unless the qb is already 10 yds bahind the line, so I stand corrected.

Tyrann Mathieu would be a beast in the wild tiger formation. We could utilize him the way Trindon should have been utilized at DE.

we need to unveil the wild tiger with shep....shep's breakout game is coming soon. he could easily have the impact that burton had for florida. 6 tds is a tall order, but he would be a nightmare to plan for. i would expect us to run this today at least a couple of times so florida has to plan for it.
