That way you are planting a seed instead of parading your guy in their face. These guys all want to "have an inside scoop" and make themselves the jockey on the dark horse candidate. That way they can "create buzz" instead of feeling like they are regurgitating canned buzz.

It also shields a player from massive scrutiny until noteworthy stats can be accrued. This is especially important for a defensive player (even more so when said player is feared and avoided).

LSU will get more involved towards the end of the season after we play some of our bigger games
