Excuse me but recognizing that this is a tough time of year to lose weight or limit gains is not making excuses.

I feel the same way, but on the same token, I shouldn't have huge blowouts and use the excuse of "it was a holiday!".. a holiday that comes annually. Holidays that I hopefully will have many more years to enjoy once I get to my maintain weight. I lost so much of my weight by simply just controlling my eating and refusing to cheat unless it was pretty much unavoidable. Now I'm working out, but I have been spending too many nights on the wrong side of a few too many beers and just not controlling myself. I know I gave a spiel a while back about not denying myself of fun, but I didn't think that would turn into a once a week or more ordeal. I think it's why I'm not losing, and even gaining. I think I will go grocery shopping tonight and begin induction again tomorrow. I think I need to kind of reset and pretend that this is a whole new beginning of dieting, kind of like when I started at 363.

It's been a good week and the weekend shouldn't be to bad either. Planned 7 mile run for Saturday morning and the last tailgate on campus for the year. With this progress I think it's time to reward myself with new running shoes. My old ones are nearing the end of their useful life.
