I think they like keeping that play in there to keep the defense more spread out to set up other plays. The more running plays a defense has to consider defending, the better your opportunities with play action.

I just don't really see how they're mixing in multiple plays from the same formations. They seem to telegraph their run plays a bit too much.

But then I don't get paid millions for it, so I just assume that there are nuances I'm not picking up.

I remember watching them do it with J Russell that eventually resulted in a TD throw against UF.

I think they set that play up over 3-4 games.
