Doing what we must do to get the "W" each week. At the end of the day, his job is evaluated by wins, and he is succeeding thus far this year.
But that said, he also talks about the poor QB play but does nothing to improve it. How the pitiful offensive play has not been tweaked in the last 2 years at all is just beyond me.
Brought in Gonzales - absolutely no change.
Keep starting Jefferson - no change there.
Playcalling - no change there.
It has got to be obvious that the Wins are going to start getting harder and harder to come by with the current offensive scheme taking the field every week and the caliber of teams getting significantly better here on out.
Here's to hoping the light bulb will come on and we'll see some Lee versus TN next week.

I have to disagree with you there. By their own admission, and obviously to 90,000+ fans in the stands, they have "simplified" the offense to compensate for their decision to not make a QB change.
Where I WILL credit Miles is for excellent recruiting and for his hiring of Chavis, Brick and Cooper.
And, crazy as it sounds, if he can get the QB situation halfway straightened out, all would be forgiven, this season would be tits, there would be no more boos except against the officials during the Bama game, and this team could bring home another BCS trophy!
Of course, he would still need to help Crowton seek other opportunities at the end of the season.

Just hang on, the L's are coming.

Evidently not. Have you ever seen a coach with such a high winning percentage get so attacked by a fanbase?

I'll take LSU D/ST over Bama D/ST this year and we always play bama tough (at home this year) as was evidenced last year. This year 2/3 of the LSU team is better than Bama . You better start thinking about your L.

Ridley and the OL was looking pretty good. LSU had more yards than WV. LSU is top 10 and 4-0. There is a lot to be thankful for but some people just need something to whine about.

CalTiger I agree with most of your post but do you really think LSU can beat Alabama or any of the 4 really good teams left on the schedule with this bad of an offense?
Arkansas which has the best QB in the Conference and one of the best in the country with the best WR & TE core in the conference combined with one of the best play callers in College Football today and playing at home still could not get it done against Bama. What gives you any inclination that LSU can beat Bama or the rest of the 4 good teams with what we have currently?

I agree that your D is probably the best in the nation and y'all may beat us but you can bet your arse that y'alls offense will cost you a game this year if thing don't imporve drastically.
Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, and other SEC teams (not sure who all y'all play) are going to put points on the board and I don't see this offense being able to come back from behind unless this is the ultimate sandbagging technique by Miles and co.

Our QB play (player/coach/calls I don't know which) has sucked but damn if I am going to allow a fricking gump to come in here and trash our team. I couldn't care less if Miles stays or goes or if our players are Freshman or 5th years - I just want LSU to win and as a fan I have no control over coaching hires/planning/recruiting/game calls etc.. and if I lose hope early in the season, it makes for a very angry and depressed season.
So I just choose to concentrate on the positives and strengths - the Terror inducing D and Lightning in a Bottle ST

As I answered to Jason - I am a fan with no control over the game and it takes too much pleasure out of the game if I tend to worry about the crappy parts and forget the good parts. (and yes there were a lot of good parts in it - including dreaming of another Heisman at LSU)
Statistically we might (will?) lose a game, given the nature of the O that we have right now - but emotion does play a huge role in college football and I think Bama is a bit of thorn in the Coaches' and Players' minds and I would really not be surprised if we win.
Having said that , I would not be shocked, disappointed - yes but not surprised if we lost to say Auburn or Arkansas - UNLESS if the O improves, in which case it is the BCS title game

Shoring up the defense after the Malveto disaster. Now he needs to see that Crowton isn't working out and find a replacement.
