Last night at 2 AM, Mr. T almost had me buying a Flavorwave Turbo Oven. I mean, who wouldn't want to be able to put a frozen solid ribeye along with a baking potato and ear of corn side-by-side in the thing, set it for 16 minutes at 400F, and cook a great dinner?

A frozen ribeye, potato and corn in 16 minutes you say?
WOW... Who could resist?

Fortunately, my impulse control while drunk has improved steadily over the years. You think infomercials air late at night due to lower advertising rates? Hah! It's to take advantage of the drunk and high. They probably sold thousands of these things, and when owners are asked later about this dusty, unused thing in their cabinet, many can probably only vaguely reply, "Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time," or, "It seemed to make Mr. T really happy!" I really do enjoy watching some good hucksterism, though. I still think of Chef Tony every time I use my Miracle Blades, which I got for Christmas one year.

I watch him. He looks like he has an AIDS starter kit.
