Watching Miles’ Wednesday briefing at NOLA.com, one of the questioners said that Terrance Toliver indicated Monday that he is not satisfied with the way his career has gone at LSU. Apparently, he is beginning to express a little frustration. Does anyone blame him?

Don't give a shite about his satisfaction. He would be unsatisfied at Bama as well.
Team.
Team.

Maybe if he was open more, he could catch more passes.

If he really said this then he can go try to frick himself. We don't need selfish players on this or any other team. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets the ball even less now. If he feels that way he should keep to himself.

link to his comments? I haven't seen them...but perhaps he was referring to his own development.

I don't know, D Byrd went from a 1st round draft pick going into his final season to a 5th round draft pick because of the lack of production his senior year, and if I'm a LSU recruit I'm looking hard where these boys are getting drafted, and if I see the 5 star number one rated WR in high school like Toliver was his senior year being drafted in the lower rounds of the NFL draft, then that may be a school I want to avoid.
By the way, D Byrd wasn't a 5th rounder because of his accident and ended up getting drafted in the 7th round by the Chargers, so hold your fire, I'm aware of that.

He is not satisfied with himself, according to the article in the Daily Reveille.

we would still be willing to throw the ball...
that may be the frustration..that he does not see an effort to "throw"

D Byrd went from a 1st round draft pick

No reciever has done well the last 3 yrs, our passing offense sucks. We took all sec palyers and made them late round selections.
Get used to it guys, we don't ahve what it takes to throw it, period. We may have a spurt here or there, but we can't throw the ball and it will cost us. I cannot believe wr recruits even consider us right now. LM can really talk some good ole southern exagerations when recruiting.

quote:Maybe he should quit getting outperformed by a true sophomore. There is a decent chance he will be the #3 WR on the team by the end of the season.

quote:D Byrd had an interview posted on here this week where he said the accident knocked him down from a 2nd round pick, but since Dead Fish said it I guess Byrd is just lying to himself.

I don't know. He's on a team that has 5 star talent at the receiver spot galore and all LSU is attempting is a lousy 16 passes a game, while at the same time still struggling somewhat with the running game. I think his beef may be legit.
The only thing I would disagree with Toliver on is airing out his dirty laundry in public, as I feel this is something he should air out with Miles first. On the other hand, maybe he did already I don't know, and in that case I don't blame him, as he has a perfect right to freedom of speech and to speak out about his feelings if he feels he is being short changed. Although I would prefer he remain silent because it may hurt LSU's recruiting prospects.
Indeed, I wonder if LSU's lack of passing attack since 2007 had any impact on us losing Trovon Reed to Auburn last recruiting class?

It is understandable that he is frustrated or getting that way. That doesnt make him a bad person. I am sure he has a desire to make the big play downfield. I would be disappointed if he was happy with this offense.

I was referring to the D Byrd interview in the Daily Reveille this week moron, where they listed D Byrd as a projected 5th rounder.

That is exactly what he is referring to. People are making this an issue that is really isn't.
