Terrence Broadway
named starter for UH against Tulame on saturday

He's the starter, the back-up and the scout team qb. Mostly because he's the only QB they have who can walk right now.

Best of luck to him, and I think he will do well in that offense, but it's not like we passed up an all world QB or anything.

I love that you guys passed on him.

Phillip Sims was in the same class. Was Alabama suppose to take two QBs, or something?

We would expect JJ to throw over 10ords against Toolame.. He is a JR while TB is a FRSH..

Kid is only a true freshman and was playing behind Keenum... Its possible to say he would start next year and he could have started at LSU by his JR year... I dont see how he is any worse than JJ is right now

I wonder if he'll pass for more than 100 yards in his first collegiate start...

Well since Houston runs the Air Raid I'm sure he'll put up plenty of passing yards and also run for a good bit of yards as well since he can run. A QB that can run and throw in that offense makes it an offense virtually impossible to stop.

Technically, all the QBs were behind Keenum, but Cotton Turner who was a RS Jr was second string and he got hurt in the UCLA game as well. That's why Broadway is getting the start.

I understand Cotton went out as well.. But TB could beat him out.. Its not like Cotton was tearing it up in the series or 2 he played

My son played against him the past couple of years-Capitol's tailback was a lot bigger problem to deal with than TB was. Still, glad to see him doing well. Maybe that answers a few questions about whether a 2A QB can play Div1 ball (Barrett Bailey)

I love the mantra that any piece of shite qb is better than what we got. Broadway wouldn't play here

But it brings up the question, what if he does come out and pass for 200+ yards this weekend & looks good overrall?? Broadway is a Freshman, JJ is a Junior, we get tired of all the 'JJ is improving' threads. I have seen people say the Houston offense is set up for passing; well my question is, what is LSU's offense set up for?? It's not like we have a dominant running offense either. If Broadway shows he can put up big offensive numbers, & Houston puts up a lot of points, then again, I think it reflects back on Crowton's inability to coach up LSU's offense, even with an experienced QB & he needs to go, waste of money on our payroll ...

just a heads up but it would be HORRIBLE for him NOT to throw for 200 yards in Houstons system.

that wont stop the 15 threads that will be started if/when JJ has a bad game tho.
