So if MSU would have just not passed the ball as much as they did (5 INT) and stuck to a boring run offense, they probably would have been a lot more competitive.

They like to move their running backs right before the snap to either side of the quarterback. After the snap, several plays start with a step in one direction while the play goes the other way.
