Personally I think you are all drinking the same kool-aid. My take is that GC has never gotten the opportunity to run the offense, as CLM has always had his fingers in that piece of the pie. GC is just the bag-man at this point and I'm not sold that any other OC is going to make a difference.

As long as we keep winning, ugly or not, I'm happy. I spent too many years languishing through the Archer/Hallman/Dinardo years, watching us give away the close ones, to be nay-saying the statistically winningest coach in LSU's history.

I agree with this more and more every game I watch and here's why. I seem to remember last year against Bama, the playcalling was the same it ahd been all year in the first half, except for the last drive of the half. We ran the 5 receiver set with 4 on one side and 1 on the other, (the ooptie oop from varsity blues) and we moved the ball well. The Bama DB's seemed to not know what was going on.

Now I don't think we should run sets like this all the time, certainly its risky. I honestly think our coaches know our strengths and think those are good enough to beat most teams. While this may be true, if we never take any chances, how does this help our players confidence when we have to come from behind and take chances to make something happen?

The aggresive nature that I have seen from our coaching staff reminds me of a guy avoiding a girl in a bar because he sees her boyfriend and thinks me may get his arse whooped, and frankly I'm tired of it. So what if we turn the ball over once or twice? JJ or whoever does it on offense will learn, Hey that doesn't work in that situation. Also, we have an UNBELIEVABLE D this year taht will have our O's back if they turn the ball over or have to punt every now and then. Seriously, if I were PP I would take the entire defense into Miles' office, call Crowton in and say "Let them play. We got their back."
