He really is not getting that many touches. He is only getting 8 per game (12 Rush, 4 Rec, 16 total)which will put him at 96 touches for the season if you average it out. I suspect it will be even tougher to get the ball in his hands as we play some better defenses down the road. By comparison he had 50 touches last season (45 Rush, 5 Rec)and we barely saw him at all last season. I think somewhere reasonable that will be truly utilizing his talent would be more like 12-15 touches per game.

Some more:

Shep is leading the team in scoring with 3 touchdowns on 16 touches. Which means he scores a touchdown every 5.33 touches. Sounds pretty good to me. I would give him the damn ball.

By comparison Ridley has 38 touches and 1 touchdown.

Would you give the ball to the guy that scores every 5.33 touches or the guy that scores every 38 touches?

They actually went to him about 13 times last week. He had a few drops.
