Has anyone here been to the Four Seasons Restaurant in NYC? It is on top of the Seagram building and the restaurant was designed by Meis Van der Rohr. The interior is pretty much the same as was when it opened 60 years ago. The menu looks good.

food isn't the best in the city or anything, but it's pretty good. the space is phenomenal though. I would sit in the Grill Room. maybe go for lunch time instead of dinner, that's when the power suits eat there. i had the crab cakes the one time I went and they were pretty excellent.

I've eaten there several times. First, it's in the Segram building, but not on top, and I believe the restaurant was designed by Philip Johnson, who designed the building with van der Rohe. The food is very good, but I doubt it would make any top 20 lists for restaurants in NYC. The food is straightforward, classic dishes with simple presentations. It is fantastically expensive, look to pay $40+ for entrees. The rooms are beautiful, particularly if you appreciate architecture. If your primary interest is seeing the room and having a good meal, by all means go. If your goal is to have the best meal possible, there are dozens of other places to consider.
