2009:
Jo. Jefferson 12-12 137.2 182-296-7 61.5 2166 17
Jarrett Lee 7-1 92.9 16-40-1 40.0 197 2

2008:
Jarrett Lee 11-8 116.9 143-269-16 53.2 1873 14
Jo. Jefferson 7-2 112.9 36-73-1 49.3 419 4

Jefferson's 2009 efficiency was 20 points higher than Lee's 2008 efficiency, while Lee had the better offensive line and running game. Also, JJ has much better running ability. Oh, and don't forget about the pick sixes.

no one cares anymore. if you can't see putting in J Lee to see what he can do is the best thing to do I don't know what to tell you

How the hell can anyone with even an ounce of brains defend JJ's play?
I used to say he was meiocre at best... now I think Ill retract that.

LSU offense under JJ has been and remains fricking pitiful.
Its a fact, no reason to argue it.
Its time for a change to JL.

I get Giving the guy a chance.
But what has he done to deserve the start lee love?
Anyone remember him in the La Tech Game last year? aweful
And yess i think he can improve, and would like to see more of him.
But i don't think he is drastically better than JJ.

Some people have selective vision. I myself really got excited for about 5 minutes when h threw one good pas, but i am not ready to drink the start lee kool-aid yet

LSU's defense was shite in 2008 and Lee was having to wing it all over the place and try to win games with his arm.

With a much better defense in '09 JJ was brought along with short passes and told not to force anything or take any chances.

I am not saying who's better or who should be starting, but just pulling up the stats is a pretty shallow way to compare qbs.

Theres a reason JJ's stats arent bad. They dont even bother running 90% of their playbook because they know he cant make the throws. Its like a SS with no range. Sure he doesnt make any errors but its only because he doesnt get to any balls not hit right at him.

Most people think the offense is regressing even from last year's pitiful performance.

Will Lee be better? Who knows, but at this point I don't see the downside to letting him start a game and seeing how it plays out.

JJ is simply not getting it done.

Amen! There is no doubt that JL can't run away from the defensive pressure, but I'm sure he can throw a more catchable ball to our 5 star recievers than JJ can. Our offense has to progress and I'm tired of watching this pitiful performance at qb. It f ing ridiculous. JJ is terrible and makes poor decisions on a regular basis. Both of his interceptions in the last two games were poor decisions! I'm tired of hearing about what JL did two seasons ago. Put the kid in!

i am not defending jj's shitty play, i just don't want lee to play because he is worse and i don't like the 2-qb system. I don't want to see Lee drop back, get scared because a rush is coming and throw the pick six or hop into the fetal posisiton to take a sack because he has no mobility.

but, he can at least get outside the tackles and shuck it out of bounds instead of eating grass.

I honestly dont know a person other than 4-5 idiots on this board that dont want JL to get an opp vs miss state.
I was a party sat night with about 100 other LSU fans it was pretty much the theme.

jefferson running is not something i want to see. I want to see a qb stand back there and run this offense like he knows what the hell is going on lol, as for the pick sixes it is time to move on..

I agree. It is much better to watch JJ run backwards another 20 yards and then take the sack because he has mobility.

I agree and for the record, why try to milk old material. We're getting fresh material in real time right now with Jordan Jefferson.

JL may not be the answer and probably no better tha JJ. My contention is why not give him a series or two when JJ is struggling? Give JJ some time to watch the game and get perspective.

seems you would rather see jj continue to play shitty than to find out if jl can do better.

we are NOT going to win the SEC west with JJ as qb.

I am for trying ANYTHING that gives us a shot at winning that.

If we don't win the SEC west I don't care if we finish with five losses vs four.

I agree and I hate the stat monkey's!!!

Would love to see Lee get a chance. News Flash Lee is a Junior and not a Freshman.

If anyone wants to see what starting a rookie young QB looks like watch Florida. Brantley will be good, but he is struggling right now.
