How much are yall willing to bet that Katerina (Katherine)'s lovechild is a direct ancestor of Elena (hence carrying the Doppelganger curse bloodline)?
Also thought it was interesting that the flashback took place in 1490, seeing that Elena was probably born in 1990 (500 years later). I think there's a significance with those numbers but I'm not entirely sure what it all means. I think the writers will delve more into that in the second part of the season.

I was wondering what happened to the baby after the father took off with it. The baby wasnt brought up after so i guess they gave her away
