Not to hate, but this guy is one of the most overrated players in the country. Almost all the big schools backed off. They had the local AAU coach of the Memphis Magic on the radio here the other day.

Said O'Bryant has put on a lot of bad weight, and there is no way he deserves to be ranked as high as he is. I know Memphis, UT, and Kentucky all backed off. His three options right now are Ole Miss, State, and LSU. So I'd say you have a good shot

We're happy taking UK's castoffs right now. We like getting guys that are rated at all. even if they are over-rated.

This will change, however.

State will definetly take him but I don't believe he's target #1 anymore.

Johnny O'Bryant will be in Starkville tonight for the MSU/Auburn football game. Word on the street is that he is leaning towards committing to State so he can play with AAU teammates Deville Smith (MSU commit) and Rodney Hood (MSU recruit)

Im hearing that its going to be a 4 team battle for O'Bryant between State, Ole Miss, LSU, and Maryland (where he just visited) He is visiting Ole Miss this weekend, and possibly Mississippi State later this month (he has already been to 2 football games at State with fellow recruits) I think that if leaving his Ole Miss visit without committing there than it will be between State and Ole Miss.

He's going to Ole Miss. Easterwood said it on the radio Monday. Posted it once or twice yesterday. Said he would bet his house on O'Bryant ending up in Oxford.

If O'Bryant doesnt commit to OM this weekend after his official visit, then look for it to come down to State and LSU.

As for State we have a secret Big man recruit that may shake things up in a few weeks

We also are close to sealing the deal on 5* SF/SG Rodney Hood from Meridian, MS.

And 4* SG David Gardner of Okolona, MS is taking his official visit to MSU this weekend as well.

I'm just telling you what Keith Easterwood said, memphis local, he's big time in the AAU world. He's Sonny Vacarro's point man for the south east.

Said O'bryant was a lock for Ole Miss on the radio on Monday. Right after he assured listeners that Ky Madden was on his way to Arkansas.

Here's an article that cites Easterwood. He knows his shite and doesn't say anything unless he is sure.

quote:

Vaccaro already has an informal network of travel coaches and summer power brokers in place, including Keith Easterwood in Memphis and Gary Charles in New York City.

I'm inclined to believe him, and unless your source is direct from O'bryant himself it's not near as good.

No O'Bryant source, but I have a VERY GOOD source on Rodney Hood a 5* recruit and 21st nationally ranked player in the c/o 2011. As well as the mystery big man yet to be named

That might have all changed when Ky Madden changed his mind at the last second.
