3rd time in 3.5 years and it is out of warranty. Is it time to switch to PlayStation?

These new consoles are all pieces of shite. I bought a PS3 and the thing died 5 months later. I hardly ever used it. I'll stick with PC from now on.

Just fixed mine myself for $23. Kit on Ebay with great instructions. Easy to do.

You will regret it. Get the new one.

$299 vs. $23. I'm pretty sure I won't regret anything. If this thing lasts me a couple more years then I've bought enough time on it.

I've fixed 3 RRODs using this tutorial, and all of them are still working (one has been working again for 6 months, one 3 months, and the other one about 2 months). If your problem is overheating this will fix it, but if it's another more serious hardware issue then you might be screwed.

Try the towel trick. It worked for me and my xbox has worked fine ever since.
