Just watched an episode of I Dream of Jeannie. I think Major Nelson's home was one story.

It was two stories. The staircase was by the front door.

Family Ties was two story, I can remember Alex coming down the stairs. But if they did a FT Reunion they'd have to make it one story on account of Alex not being able to negotiate the steps. Even if he could it'd take hours..

What about Apartments? Does that count as a One story or two?

I was just thinking houses. I know the Seinfelds and whatnot lived in apartments.

Brady Bunch. Maybe a split level though.

i say apartments don't count. Lots of sitcoms have apartments. Seinfeld, Laverne and Shirley, Friends, Big Bang Theory...

I've gone over just about every sitcom in my head and I think Golden Girls is the only one that is one story. Even its spinoff Empty Nest had two stories.

Go take the universal studios tour in Cali. They give you a tour of the old houses if they are still there.

The inside of the Brady Bunch house never did line up correctly with the outside look of the house. For example, the staircase was to the right of the front door as you are walking into the house. In the picture of the outside of the house, the largest part of the house is to the left of the front door.

Don't forget Mike's office was downstairs off of the living room.

Same thing with Family matters, when you see the house from the ouside there is a solid wall to the left of the front door, but when you enter the door there was a whole living room and a stair case to the left.

After looking a little closer at the picture of the house, I don't even see how any side of that house can be considered a 2 story house.

Also, if you remember, the sliding glass doors in the kitchen and den that opened up into the back yard are also facing the same direction as the front door.
