So....to sum up....because RS didn't get as many touches as Harvin and Scott didn't play in the Auburn game 4 years ago....Miles only plays upperclassmen no matter how talented the freshmen are....even though Miles has played and started many freshmen since he's been her
Honestly I think most of us just think hes more conservative in this regard, which can be good or bad. Its easy to say X would have had all these yards and touchdowns, but nobody knows. Shepard showed everyone how talented he was in his limited PT, so making the argument is slightly easier.
I dont agree on "Ford should start" theory however. Murphy and Ridley are experienced backs who are plenty capable and obviously better all around than him at this point. If Ford was absolutely amazing he would probably get equal work with the other 2, but hes obviously not. Nobody has any information to prove otherwise except his weight room stats.

Agreed and well stated. IMO, the Miles "doesn't play younger players" thing is way overblown (as are most things on the rant). There are plenty of things to get on Les about, but this isn't one of them. I think Les errs on the side of experience when he decides who plays and who sits. Experience trumps raw talent. I have no issue with this. If the younger player is clearly better, he will play. Otherwise, expect the experienced player to get the nod.
That said, I think we all hope Murphy has a monster year. He is well liked and hasn't had his chance to shine, yet. I think we are looking at a Murphy/Ridley rotation barring injury.
